Mayonnaise Mask

It might seem funny,  but mayonnaise is actually a great hair conditioner.  It has excellent proteins for taking care of dry hair in your own home.

Plus,  it’s natural! It will also keep your hair shiny and soft.

1. Gather your ingredients

The first thing you’ll need to do is gather one entire cup of mayonnaise.  Make sure it is full fat mayo and not reduced fat.

2. Massage the mask into your hair

Your second step will be to apply the mayo mask to your hair.  Make sure to get the mayo down into your roots,  and cover your scalp as well.

This will assure that each hair follicle has ample moisture attached to it.  Also be sure to massage the mayo into your ends.

3. Cover your head

You’ll now need to cover your hair and head with Saran wrap.  Leave the mask on for 30 or 40 minutes.  If you want to leave it on for longer,  it’s perfectly fine.

4. Rinse the mask

Finally,  rinse the mayonnaise out of your hair with lukewarm water.  Feel free to shampoo your hair gently to help rid your hair of a mayonnaise odor.

Banana Mask for hair treatment

Banana Mask

Bananas are also great for treating dry and brittle hair.  There is a high moisture content and a lot of potassium in bananas,  and these help to prevent the appearance of split ends and allow less breakage.

1. Gather your ingredients

You’ll need two overripe bananas.  They can be brown or even black.  You’ll also need a bowl and a fork to mash the bananas.

2. Mash the bananas

Use your fork to mash the bananas so that you have a paste in your bowl.

3. Spread the bananas into your hair

You’ll then be spreading the banana mask into your hair.  Make sure to cover each hair from root to tip.  Leave the bananas on your hair for 20 minutes.  Cover with plastic wrap if it starts to fall out.

4. Rinse the mask

After 20 minutes,  you can rinse this mask out of your hair with lukewarm water.  Use this mask once per week.

Try these deep conditioning remedies with ingredients in your own home.  If your hair does not show improvement in a few weeks,  consider contacting your doctor.
