Try a calming mask

You can make your own facial calming mask at home with natural products.  Use about two tablespoons of aloe vera gel and several sliced cucumbers.  Coat one side of each cucumber slice in the aloe vera gel,  and stick it to your clean and dry skin.

Lay down on your back,  so the slices don’t come off,  and let them sit there for about fifteen to twenty minutes before removing and wiping away the aloe vera.

Try coconut oil

Coconut oil is a natural emollient.  This means that helps to lock in the moisture that your face already has and add a little bit more.  Often,  redness on the face and the rest of the body is simply caused by chapped or dried out skin.  If this is the case,  you need to add moisture back in.

Avoid triggers of rosacea

Rosacea is a skin disorder that causes redness to develop quickly on the face.  Often,  there are special triggers that can cause a rosacea flare up.  For example,  some people get red skin when they eat particularly spicy food like chili,  certain hard cheeses or alcohol.  Red wine is a big rosacea trigger.

In addition,  the sun will also cause a rosacea flare up,  so if you are going outside,  make sure to wear a sunscreen with an SPF of 30 or higher.  This is true even for cloudy or overcast days.  Heat in general may be another common trigger for rosacea.  Talk to your doctor if you think this condition may be affecting you.

Finally,  if you are going somewhere,  and the redness in your face is flaring up, use facial makeup products that contain a lot of yellow or green.  This pigment will help to mask the redness in the face.

Simply apply a yellowish or greenish concealer or primer base to your skin,  and cover with your normal foundation.  You will notice that the redness does not come through.  Use this step and all of the above to reduce redness on the face quickly.
