Olive Oil

We use olive oil every day when we cook,  but did you know that it can also be very advantageous to your skin? It’s true.

It is an excellent source of vitamins E and A,  and it also has wrinkle-fighting anti-oxidants,  which can renew skin to its youthful glow.

  1. Gather your ingredients.  You will need 1 tablespoon of olive oil and a few drops of honey as well as a bowl and a mixer.
  2. Mix the olive oil and the honey.
  3. Apply the mixture to your skin,  and rinse off with cool water after 15 minutes.  Repeat once every day.

ginger for wrinkles

Ginger

Elastin is a key ingredient in making skin appear smooth and wrinkle-free.  Young people have smooth and wrinkle-free skin because their bodies are constantly producing more and more amounts of elastin.

Older people need more elastin because their bodies have stopped producing it in large amounts.  Ginger is an excellent ingredient that helps regenerate new elastin in the body and stop its breakdown.

  1. Grate the ginger until you have a pinch of it,  and mix it with a half tablespoon of honey.
  2. Eat the mixture in the morning,  or use it in your tea for some added sweetness and flavor.

Remember,  the sun is the biggest culprit for causing premature aging.  Make sure to stay out of the direct rays of the sun as much as possible,  and when you do go outside,  always wear a sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30.

You should even wear sunscreen on days when it’s cloudy or overcast,  because the harmful UV rays can get to your skin.

You should also protect the area around your eyes from getting even more wrinkles.  That skin is delicate and may damage easier.

Do this by wearing SPF eye cream and large sunglasses when you go outside.  In addition,  avoid smoking at all costs,  as smoking has been known to cause wrinkles on the face and around the eyes.

Follow all of these directions,  and the skin beneath your eyes will turn wrinkle-free and stay that way for years to come!
