How to Get Volume in Your Hair Naturally

Have you noticed that your hair is laying limp on your hair?  Are you having trouble with thinning?

If so,  there are several things you can do to fix this problem.  These are easy hair styling techniques that will give you volumized hair in a matter of minutes.

Use Your Blowdryer to Your Advantage

Your blowdryer’s main job is to dry your hair after it’s wet.  But it can do other things as well.

One of the things you can do with your blowdryer is volumize your roots so that you have bigger and better hair that will look great all day long.

1. Comb your hair

Start with wet hair.  Use a detangling spray,  serum or cream to smooth your hair before combing it with awide-toothed comb.

2. Flip your hair down

To make your roots stand up and to give your hair extra volume,  you’ll want to flip your hair down so that your head is upside down.

Make sure to bend your knees slightly so you don’t hurt your back.

3. Use a round metal brush and a blowdryer

Using a round metal brush,  blow-dry your hair from root to tip.  Make sure to blow-dry your roots so that they stand up.

Back Comb

Back combing your hair is a technique that many women use to give their hair more volume.  It is an easy and natural hair process that will take only four or five minutes.

1. Section off the top of your hair

Comb off a very thin top layer of hair.  Clip it with an alligator clip.

2. Use a fine-toothed comb

Now,  you’ll need a fine-toothed comb. Back comb your hair from a few inches off the roots.

Back combing refers to combing your hair in the opposite way that you would usually comb it.  This creates tiny, little knots that help to keep your hair volumized.

3. Comb back the top hair

Lastly,  put the top layer of hair over the hair you had just back combed.  This will give your hair a nice finish.

Remember,  you can also use hair volumizing products to add more depth and height to your hair.  A great product is hair spray.

It comes in many different hold types,  so you can use a light hold for keeping frizz in place and a strong hold for keeping volumized hair in place.  Find products like hair spray at your local beauty supply store.
