All women experience hair loss, but some experience more than others.
Luckily, there are a few ways that you can be sure to prevent hair loss from happening in the first place.
Jojoba oil is one of the best natural oils for your hair, and it is excellent at preventing hair loss because of its strengthening properties.
1. Find a good jojoba oil
You can find organic jojoba oil at your local beauty store or online. Make sure it is 100% jojoba oil because other oils mixed in with jojoba oil in some formulas may cause more harm than good.
2. Warm your oil
Carefully warm your jojoba oil in a microwave safe container in the microwave. Do not overheat it because it could cause damage to your microwave. 20-30 seconds should do as a start. You’ll need about 1/4 cup of jojoba oil for shoulder-length hair.
3. Massage oil into your hair
Use your fingertips to massage the oil into your hair. Make sure to cover all of your hair from the roots, down the hair shafts to the tips.
You’ll want to leave this oil in your hair for about 30 minutes. If you want a really great mask, you can also apply the oil mask, wrap your hair in plastic wrap on top of your head and sleep in it.
Finally, rinse your hair with warm water and a gentle shampoo. You may need to wash your hair several times to get all the oil out. Use this mask once per week to prevent hair loss.
Useful combing and brushing tips
The way you comb and brush your hair will effect how much you either lose or don’t lose. Treat your hair kindly with a brush and comb, and you’ll keep it for longer.
1. Use a detangling spray
A lot of hair damage happens from people trying to rake brushes and combs through tangled hair.
Never do this. If you can’t get your brush or comb through your hair, simply use a detangling spray to get the job done.
2. Never brush your hair wet
You should only use a wide-toothed comb on wet hair. Using a brush will pull more hair out by the roots, and it may even snap hair strands in half and cause split ends.
Finally, don’t forget to get your hair ends trimmed often. You’ll want to do this to prevent split ends and breakage from occurring, as this is a common cause of hair loss.
